Santos livid over fellow FEU alum Pogoy’s hit to his groin
Arwind Santos was still fuming over Roger Pogoy’s hit on his groin after San Miguel’s 102-88 victory over TNT in Game 2 of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
The veteran forward said that he’d rather have Pogoy punch him in the face rather than low-blow him again.

(If he wants [to punch me], then he should just punch me in the face instead of in [my groin], that’s a source of my happiness.)
Santos jumped to rebound Alex Cabagnot’s already-made layup, but Pogoy seemingly went for an upper-cut under his outstretched legs, hitting his man parts.

“Kung di ako magkaanak, kasalanan pa niya. Mabuti na lang meron na akong anak. Eh paano kung gusto pa ng asawa ko?,” he said, eliciting laugh from the reporters in the post-game scrum.
(If I don’t get to have another kid again, that’s on him. It’s a good thing I already have kids. But what if my wife wants another one?)
He continued: “Muntik pumutok yung balls ko eh. Naka-shoot na kami at tumalon lang ako para harangin yung bola, tapos nagulat nalang ako na binigyan ako ng uppercut. Imbis na maramdaman ko yung pain sa balls ko, umakyat sa ulo talaga. Galit na galit na galit na galit ako. Bakit niya ginawa yun? FEU pa naman siya. Yun lang ang kinakasama ng loob ko kanina.”
(My balls almost exploded. I just went up to block the ball, then all of a sudden, I receive an uppercut. Instead of feeling the pain in my balls, it went up to my head. I was livid. How could he do that? He’s from FEU. That’s really what bothered me the most.)
Santos said that he no longer had a chance to talk to Pogoy after the game as the latter was slapped with a flagrant foul penalty two for the stunt, leading to his ejection.
The feisty Kapampangan forward wondered that there may be a reason why Pogoy no longer reached out to him.
“Wala na eh, ayaw din niya makausap. Baka na-guilty din siya,” he said. “Di ko na maalala kung ano yung pinagsasabi ko eh. Talagang ang init ng ulo ko kanina. Isang ulo yung tinamaan niya eh, alam mo yun? Lalaki pa naman tayo. Ayaw natin tinatamaan yung mga ganoon. Panlaban natin yun eh. Alam niyo yan, di ba?“
(He also didn’t want to talk. Maybe he feels guilty. I can’t remember what I said. I was really angry. I’m a guy, I don’t want getting hit there.)
Pogoy was mum on the situation as he exited the venue together with TNT governor Pato Gregorio.
But Santos warned the neophyte to not stoop down to that level and pick a dirty fight with him.
“Wag niya ako subukan dahil kilala niya ako. Di ko siya aatrasan,” he said. “Para sa aming mga Kapampangan, si Calvin (Abueva) ang pinakamapangasar. Kung gusto nila ng ganoon, okay lang. Sasabayan namin siya.”
