Beermen guards Cabagnot, Ross eye history
Ever since the start of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals, Alex Cabagnot and Chris Ross are curious to know if it would be possible for the league to award the Best Player of the Conference plum to the both of them, an instance that has never occurred in the PBA’s 42-year history.

“It says a lot,” he said. “It’s indicative that’s just the makeup of our team. One guy could be doing well, the other guy could be doing well. But in the end, collectively as a team, we’re all doing well.”
And we’re not even accounting three-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, who is running third in the statistical race.

“I wish we both win. I think that’s never happened,” he said.
“Chris and I would love to share something. It’s good for our careers also, but it’s just indicative for our friendship and our camaraderie that we share something like this. It would be awesome.”
