Four more players are expected to be included in the squad gearing up for the Southeast Asian Games and the Asian Seniors, sources inside the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas revealed Tuesday.
The development was reportedly spurred by certain players’ frequent absences in practice, citing their games with their respective teams in the ongoing Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.
Already, the names being floated include Ria Meneses, Mar-Jana Phillips, Majoy Baron, Shawna Lei-Santos, EJ Laure, Bernadeth Pons, who are all playing in the PSL.
But sources said the LVPI might tap Premier Volleyball League stars Grethcel Soltones and Myla Pablo. As it is, the PVL only has one player in the 14-man roster, Alyssa Valdez.
The national pool has already undergone a major change, with Kim Kiana Dy included in the team replacing Rachel Anne Daquis.
