Generika, Cocolife face QF heavyweights

Middle-of-the-road teams Generika-Ayala and Cocolife get that one last chance to power up their finals bid Thursday.

But they will have to do it against league heavyweights when the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference stages its knockout quarterfinals at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Generika-Ayala, coached by national team mentor Francis Vicente, faces a resurgent defending champion F2 Logistics at 5 p.m., while Cocolife battles Cignal at 7 p.m.

Cignal coach George Pascua is not taking Cocolife lightly and warned his team against its habit of starting slow.

“We can’t afford to be like that; this is a very important phase of the tournament,” said Pascua.
