Reigning NCAA basketball champions San Beda is set to field Cameroonian big men Donald Tankoua and Arnaud Noah for the upcoming Season 93.

Team Manager Jude Roque said team officials decided to stick with Noah and Tankoua, keeping Toba Eugene out of the lineup.

“After hours of deliberation, we decided that Tankoua and Noah should stay as San Beda’s foreign players for Season 93,” said Roque in the statement.

Tankoua was the starting center for San Beda in Season 92 but suffered a season-ending injury late in the tournament after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Noah was then thrust into the starting position for the Red Lions, who got their record 21st championship in the NCAA, and won the Finals MVP in the process.

Roque said Noah will still get the bulk of the minutes at the center position in the first round as they expect Tankoua to fully recover in time for the second round.

“Donald will play minimal minutes at the start of the first round because we expect him to be in full strength in the second round,” said Roque.
