PBA fines TNT import Smith for ‘detrimental’ statements

The PBA on Saturday imposed a hefty fine on TNT import Joshua Smith after the hulking big man “issued statements detrimental to the league.”

The league slapped a P30,000 fine on Smith after he told the media Friday night that “PBA officials are terrible.”

Smith blasted the referees after the KaTropa lost to San Miguel 111-102 in Game 5 of the Commissioner’s Cup Finals at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

TNT incurred 32 personal fouls in the game while the Beermen committed 21.

San Miguel also shot 38 free throws compared to the KaTropa’s 21.
