PVL: Air Force subdues Perlas
Philippine Air Force brushed off a horrendous second set and turned back Perlas Banko in four sets, 25-23, 9-25, 25-20, 25-20, Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Lady Jet Spikers enjoyed a three-pronged attack with Iari Yongco leading the way with 15 points while Jocemer Tapic and Mary Ann Pantino had 14 and 11 points, respectively.
The Banko Spikers, though, missed the services of Dzi Gervacio, who is on study leave, and the duo of Kathy Bersola and Nicole Tiamzon, who are in vacation after graduating from University of the Philippines.

“We still have lots to improve especially on defense, both on the floor and in front of the net,” said Jimenez. “Communication and timing are also areas we have to improve on.”
Air Force committed 43 errors, but the Lady Jet Spikers’ 47 attack points barely managed to contain the team’s shortcomings.
