He may have missed out on winning the Best Player award, but Alex Cabagnot still ended the conference as one of San Miguel’s most valuable players.

With an outstanding performance in what had been a testy Finals series, Cabagnot was named the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals MVP after the Beermen extinguished TNT in six games Sunday night.

The sly guard averaged 20.3 points, eight rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.3 steals through the best-of-seven finals series, capping off his brilliance with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists in the 115-91 Game 6 win.

Ross looked ecstatic for Cabagnot, rushing to hug his fellow guard as he was receiving his trophy.
