As the only unbeaten team, Flying V expects its opponents to come out hard in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
So Flying V coach Eric Altamirano thinks his Thunder’s Monday match against Racal Motors won’t be any different.
“Our next games are going to be very tough,” said Altamirano. “I’m sure, all teams are now targeting our back.”
Game time is 5 p.m. at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Racal, which dropped its last two games to slip to 3-3, knows it will take a lot of effort to overcome a Flying V squad bannered by Jeron Teng, Gab Banal and Eric Salamat.
“Hopefully we’ll have better chemistry when we face Flying V,” said Racal coach Jerry Codiñera
Wangs Basketball (3-3) and Zark’s Burgers (1-5) collide in the other match at 3 p.m.
Flying V looks to follow up on its 83-78 victory over Marinerong Pilipino last week, while Racal hopes to get back to winning behind the leadership of Mac Tallo after an upset loss to Wangs, 93-84. —CARLO ANOLIN, KRISTOFER PURNELL
