Centro Escolar University used a strong finishing surge to down Marinerong Pilipino, 70-57, and extend its winning streak to four in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Orlan Wamar drilled two treys in the payoff period, the last of which gave his side the 19-point lead, 68-49, midway in the fourth quarter, to trigger the Scorpions’ blowout.

The diminutive playmaker  finished the game with 16 points on a 5-of-6 sniping from threes, to go with two rebounds off the bench.

“I know his game will come because his work ethic shows it. He really has the go signal from me to shoot,” said coach Yong Garcia of Wamar.

Rod Ebondo towered over the competition anew, racking up 13 markers, 18 boards, four blocks, and two assists, while Christian Uri got 11 in the win.
