Lyceum, EAC now marked NCAA teams
Hardly creating a ripple in the NCAA in past seasons, Lyceum and Emilio Aguinaldo College are finally getting attention for the right reasons.
Keeping their solid core and with prized recruits finally suiting up, the Pirates and Generals are setting lofty goals for Season 93 which opens on Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Pirates, who joined the league in 2011, have been tipped to challenge San Beda for the title after a preseason semifinal stint in the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup.
“We’ll be marked in the season but that’s part of the challenge,” said Lyceum coach Topex Robinson.
“To be honest, we want the Final Four now,” said coach Ariel Sison, whose Generals spent the last eight seasons in the bottom half of the standings.
