Petron trounced Foton even as F2 Logistics routed Cignal Thursday night to arrange a best-of-three title fight in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
The Blaze Spikers hacked out a 25-21, 22-25, 25-9, 26-16 win over the Tornadoes, while the defending champion Cargo Movers zoomed past the flustered HD Spikers, 25-15, 25-15, 25-14, earlier.

National player Aby Maraño anchored F2 Logistics’ fast-paced game, gliding her way to 10 points, including a running attack and a solo block for the match’s last two points.
“We really, really wanted to win this game not just because we want to get back at Cignal which beat us in the preliminaries, but also because we want to make the championships,” said the flamboyant middle-blocker.

“At the start of the game we really want to focus and remove all the doubts in our hearts,” Maraño added.
Looking confident, the Cargo Movers executed their plays at breakneck speed with Maraño, Ara Galang, Desiree Cheng and Majoy Baron taking turns in attacks.
But they also held their ground in defense, muting Cignal’s top scorers Rachel Anne Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga who are more at home with high-low plays and combination attacks.
“We were very successful in our service that made it difficult for them to establish defense,” added Maraño.
Baron typified F2’s “fully loaded serves,” hammering four straight aces that triggered five straight points for the Cargo Movers as the HD Spikers struggled in receives.
