After his fruitful four seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, Paul Millsap is headed West to join Nikola Jokic and the rest of the Denver Nuggets.

The four-time All-Star recently signed a reported three-year, $90-million contract with the “Mile High City,” in exchange for Jamal Crawford, Diamond Stone and the Los Angeles Clippers’ 2018 first-round draft pick.

Ever the consummate professional, the 32-year-old forward recently penned a heartfelt goodbye to the entire city of Atlanta and paid homage to its loyal fans.

“Tried to find the words to better help explain how much the fans and the city of Atlanta has meant to me but words can not explain it,” Millsap wrote, along with a photo of himself in a Hawks uniform.

“From an average Joe to a 4 time All ⭐️(star) Atlanta I could not have done it without you.”

“Thank you for an amazing 4 years! Thank you for embrace me and my family and for always having my back. I will always hold a special place in my heart for you,” he added, with the hashtags #truetoatlanta #anchormanout #untilnexttime.

Since transferring to Atlanta from the Utah Jazz in 2013, Millsap had anchored the team down low with his versatility on both ends of the floor.

Although considered undersized at the power forward position, the 6’8 forward has averaged solid numbers of 17.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game during his tenure in Atlanta.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
