Pablo scores 30 as Pocari Sweat withstands Power Smashers

Pocari Sweat avoided collapse and fended off a resilient Power Smashers side, 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 15-11, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Saturday night at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Myla Pablo carried the Lady Warriors with a game-high 30 points but she also got ample help from her teammates as three others hit double-digit scoring.

Jeanette Panaga added 15 points while Elaine Kasilag and Maricar Nepomuceno chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Melissa Gohing was also solid for Pocari Sweat as she came away with 42 excellent sets and 23 digs.

The Lady Warriors claimed solo leadership with a 3-0 record while the Power Smashers dropped to 0-2.

Regine Arocha and Dimdim Pacres had 17 points apiece for the Power Smashers.
