At 3-0, the Cool Smashers tied idle defending champion Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors for top spot.
The Jet Spikers absorbed their first defeat in two starts.
Earlier, Perlas-BanKo survived highly energized Adamson to prevail, 25-18, 25-16, 21-25, 25-21, and post its first win after dropping its initial two games.
The Perlas Spikers trailed 7-13 in the fourth set against the winless Lady Falcons.
“We badly needed this win and we focused on it,” said Kath Bersola, who recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of the Philippines.
Bersola finished with 13 points and had three blocks for Perlas which took its first win in three starts.
“We still need to work on our communication and chemistry on the court,” said Bersola as they struggled against a team that won just one match in the UAAP last season.
With Jema Galanza, May Roque and Eli Soyud brimming with adrenalin, the Lady Falcons made a major fight back from two sets down to snatch the third frame.
Galanza, who finished with 16 points, engineered that run that saw Adamson topping Perlas-BanKo, 25-21, in attacks in that set alone.
That was enough to sow fear into the Perlas Spikers’ hearts as they started the fourth set down 7-13.
But through Bersola and Nicole Tiamzon, Perlas grabbed the upperhand, 19-15.
