U.S. high performance sportswear label Under Armour, has launched the much-coveted Curry 3ZER0 that supported the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, Stephen Curry, through 2017 NBA Playoffs earlier this year.

Just like his game, Stephen Curry’s signature shoe collection has evolved with him, powering the dominant sharpshooter to new heights; like hitting a record 13 3-pointers in a single game and cementing his name into the top-10 list of career 3-pointers made. Inspired by protective armour worn by the toughest warriors in history, the Curry 3ZER0 is a mirror of Curry’s will to be stronger, quicker and simply more efficient on court.

A post season pair that features the pinnacle in lightweight protection technology, the Curry 3ZER0 has a reinforced upper mesh for maximum protection, an adjustable heel support to keep the foot in place and a lateral wing plate that provides increased stability. “It’s not compromising any containment for him. We just basically took out as much weight as we could. We made it as breathable as possible. We kind of turned it into a racecar,” said Curry 3 lead designer Kort Neumann, who has been in communication with Curry all season. “This is something that’s a little bit lighter, airier, more race-like, if you will.”

Neumann added, “He likes comfort. He likes his lockdown and containment. He loves the squeak of traction on the court. He really likes that squeak. It’s kind of an indicator for him that it sticks in the ground.”

While keeping a minimalistic outlook, the Curry 3ZER0 encapsulates the hallmarks and constants that drive Curry on court. The outsole is stamped with a full spelling of the ‘TCC’ abbreviation that he has tattooed on his wrist which stands for “Trust. Commitment. Care.”
