University of the Philippines spiker Isa Molde said Wednesday the Lady Maroons are still adjusting to their life without the triumvirate of leaders who left the team right after Season 79 of the UAAP.

Opposite hitter Nicole Tiamzon, middle blocker Kathy Bersola, and libero Pia Gaiser all left the UP program at the same time and Molde, who’s entering her third year, said they’re still trying to fill the void the three left in their team.

“They really helped the team a lot during their stay and they were the ones who we played with last season,” said Molde at Filoil Flying V Centre. “And we’re still trying to fix our middle blocker position.”

UP started the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on a three-game losing streak.

Molde added that it’s up to her and the other older players to try to patch up the hole the three graduates left in the team.

“It’s up to us older players to improve and help the team because we’re now the seniors here,” said Molde who came into the UP program with fellow open hitter Diana Carlos, and skipper Ayel Estrañero

“This is a new team, and some of the players here right now did not play last season and of course we’re still adjusting.”
