The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) will scrutinize the performances of all national sports associations (NSAs) for the past 10 years.

PSC Chair Butch Ramirez said the review would be the basis in implementing a new set of policies on disbursing financial assistance to NSAs and their national athletes.

“If we see that they are non-performing, it’s either we give them a little amount or nothing at all,” said Ramirez.

Ramirez said the PSC agency is planning to provide an annual budget for all NSAs where they can withdraw from the account any time to fund their programs and international exposures.

“The budget should have a corresponding program of activities with no realignment,” said Ramirez. “It will be convenient for everybody since we can easily monitor while the NSAs will no longer wait for their requests to be approved.”
