Ahead of the 2017-2018 NBA season, Nike recently gave a glimpse of its  revamped official NBA jerseys collection.

Aside from officially welcoming sponsorship patches on each uniform, the sports apparel giant announced that the NBA has agreed to do away with the traditional ”home” and “road” jersey designations and color assignments.

Instead, Nike will refer to each colorway as “editions” and leave it to the home team to decide which jersey it will wear for each game.

According to Nike’s official website,  the ”Association Edition” will replace white home uniforms, while the “Icon Edition” will replace the contrasting colored road uniforms.

“Beginning with the 2017-18 season, home teams will pick which of their uniforms will be worn at all home games and visiting teams will choose a contrasting uniform within their own assortment,” a statement from Nike read.

“Because of this change, Nike and the NBA worked together to create four core uniforms for each team, classified as ‘editions.'”

Despite the changes, such provisions will still adhere to the white-versus-colored contrast, to avoid confusion among players on the court.

A “Classic Edition” is also set to be rolled out for eight unspecified teams, the report said.

As of this writing, Nike has yet to release the retail price of each jersey for the public.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
