John Dizon handily fended off the challenge of Mikey Jordan and favorite Takaharu Nakamori of Japan to rule Race 3 of the second leg of the 2017 Petron ROK Karting Super Series ar Carmona Racetrack recently.
Already the winner of Race 2 in Palawan, Dizon of Edgesport Racing topped the ROK Overall title as he completed the 20-lap race 3.974 seconds clear of Jordan.
Nakamori checked in third but consoled himself with the ROK Expert Blaze 100 plum, besting Jenn Tumambing.
Dizon also turned back Jordan and Juan Diego Macapagal for the ROK Novice Blaze 100 title.
Ephraim Mandal won the ROK Veteran Blaze 100 race over William Tan while Jarred Kim upset favorite Eduardo Coseteng Jr. by 0.457 seconds in the X30 Jr. Petron Tri-Action where Keon Romoff and Hong Kong national Kyle Wong finished third and fourth, respectively.
Other winners were Zach David (Mini-ROK Petron XCS) and Vince Adrian Rojo (Formula KT division). —STEVE SILVA
