Retired boxing great Mike Tyson and returning fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. aren’t exactly fond of each other and probably won’t be anytime soon.

Still, “Iron Mike” sided with the undefeated pound-for-pound boxer ahead of his mega-bout against the UFC’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.

Appearing on ESPN’s “Pardon My Take,” the legendary heavyweight slugger didn’t mince words and bared his bold prediction of the upcoming August fight.

“McGregor is going to get killed in boxing,” the 51-year-old boxing Hall of Famer proclaimed. “I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy?”

The 40-year-old Mayweather, who’s coming out of retirement for this bout, is still considered by many as one of, if not the greatest defensive boxer of all time.

Although lauded by many for his striking arsenal in the UFC, McGregor remains a novice in the boxing world—which Tyson believes would be his biggest downfall.

“McConor put his dumb as* in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby,” he said.

“McConor can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance,” Tyson added, referring to the different rules in mixed martial arts.

“McGregor took the biggest sucker rules in the history of boxing,” he further said.
