Lyceum seeks to stretch its winning run to five while Arellano and Letran try to stay within striking distance of the leaders when the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball resumes Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Pirates, coming off a 99-65 win over last year’s losing finalists Arellano Chiefs, take on the St. Benilde Blazers at 12 noon.
The Chiefs and the Knights, tied at 2-2 with two others, collide at 2 p.m.
Led by CJ Perez, Mer Ayaay and Marcelino twins Jaycee and Jayvee, the Pirates are off to their best start since joining the NCAA six years ago.
The Blazers are toting a
1-2 card, the same record of Perpetual Help and San Sebastian which face off 4 p.m.
“The championship is there but it’s far from our grasp,” said Lyceum coach Topex Robinson. “What we must do is try to win as many games as we can and try to get closer to it.”
The Knights are also coming off a loss, a 74-81 decision to the second-running San Beda Red Lions (4-1) last week.
