Meralco, Rain or Shine swap Gilas cadets

Rain or Shine continued to shake up its roster as it acquired Ed Daquioag from Meralco in exchange for Mike Tolomia.

The Office of the Commissioner approved the deal on Monday afternoon as Gilas cadets swapped places for the second time this conference.

Tolomia and Daquioag have had similar fortunes in the Elasto Painters and the Bolts respectively, seeing minimal minutes in their rookie season.

Tolomia averaged 4.0 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists with Rain or Shine.

Meanwhile, Daquioag fared a little better in his time with Meralco, netting 5.7 markers, 1.8 boards, and 1.3 dimes.

Earlier, the Elasto Painters dealt their longtime gunslinger Jeff Chan to the Phoenix Fuel Masters for veteran forward Mark Borboran and a 2020 second round pick.
