San Beda banked on Robert Bolick and Clint Doliguez in the clutch as it slipped past Perpetual, 57-53, on Thursday for their sixth straight win in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament at Perpetual Help Gym in Pasig.

Doliguez drained the go-ahead triple with 59.0 seconds to play to push his side up, 55-53.

Prince Eze had a chance to tie the game for the Altas, but botched his free throws with 34.4 seconds
remaining, before Bolick canned the dagger freebies in the final 6.9 to help the Red Lions move up to 7-1 in the standings.

Rookie Doliguez fired 11 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, while Bolick did it all for San Beda with 10 markers, 11 boards, and seven dimes to atone for his eight turnovers.

“Even if it’s an ugly win, I’ll take that,” said coach Boyet Fernandez. “I will not argue that the game is a credit to my boys because they really played well today. Again, I salute Perpetual, the team, the coaching staff because they did a really good job in preparing for us.”

Prince Eze led Perpetual with 11 points, 17 rebounds, and three blocks as the Altas fell to a 3-5 card.
