Kim’s favorite moment came when a little boy gave her flowers after they beat China for the bronze medal, 25-11, 25-18, 25-20, in the AVC Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship.

“I saw him before the game and he was like giving this bouquet of flowers to me and I was like ‘after the game, after the game,’” said Kim who had seven points in the game.

And even off the floor, Kim would be showered with praise as fans screamed “K-Y-K!” upon the mere sight of her and even members of the organizing staff couldn’t help but take pictures with her.

“Thank you so much for the Filipino fans, when I play here it feels like I’m playing at home. It was great playing here.”
