Wong finally gets gold in wushu for PHs sixth

Agatha Chrystenzen Wong delivered the Philippines’ sixth gold medal in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games after ruling the women’s taijiquan event Tuesday.

Wong’s gold medal win came just a day after bagging the silver in the taijijian event.

She registered a score of 9.66, besting Basma Lachkar of Brunei (9.54) and Lin Ying Ho of Singapore (9.44).

It was the first gold of the Philippines in wushu after Daniel Parantac, who won the gold in the last two editions of the regional games, faltered in all of his events this year.
