The Filipino tandem of Jemyca Aribado and Yvone Alyssa Dalida took home the bronze medal in women’s squash doubles in the 29th Southeast Asian Games on Wednesday.
Aribado and Dalida bowed to their Malaysian counterparts Chan Yiwen and Nazihah Haris in the semifinals.
Still, it was an inspiring run for the two, who managed to make the podium, despite Dalida’s injury.
Dalida played through a strained right hand she sustained in the quarterfinals against Thailand on Tuesday.
Malaysia finished 1-2 in the event, which was held in the SEA Games for the first time, while Singapore secured the other bronze.
