Cignal’s Jose named D-League MVP

Displaying unmatchable grit all-conference long, Cignal HD’s Raymar Jose came away with the Conference Most Valuable Player award for the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

The hardworking forward averaged 12.27 points and 10.18 rebounds in leading the Hawkeyes to a second straight Finals appearance this conference.

Jose is currently with Gilas Pilipinas in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games as the Philippines seeks its 18th gold medal in the biennial meet.

He is the third player from Far Eastern University to win the plum, following the footsteps of Mac Belo (2016 Aspirants’ Cup) and Mike Tolomia (2016 Foundation Cup).

Jose edged Cignal teammate Jason Perkins, Flying V’s Jeron Teng, and CEU’s JK Casiño for the award.
