PSC, Cayetano to meet on SEA Games hosting

Philippine Sports Commission Chair Butch Ramirez said Thursday he would meet with foreign affairs Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano right after the Southeast Asian Games turnover ceremony in Kuala Lumpur to begin planning the country’s 2019 hosting of the meet.

Cayetano, who was appointed by President Duterte as chair of the organizing committee, will attend the closing rites and turnover ceremony of the Games in Malaysia on Aug. 30.

“I’m committed to help and support him (Cayetano),” said Ramirez. “We will have a meeting upon his arrival and discus the formation of the organizing committee, among others.”
