The revival of karting’s Manila-Hong Kong Interport Cup will serve as the sidelight of the Philippine leg of the 2017 Petron Tri-Activ Asian Karting Open Championships that opens Friday at Carmona Racetrack.
The event will see seven of the best Filipino karters going up against seven of their peers from Hong Kong in a dual meet that was last held in 1960.
Apart from the Hong Kong aces, champion karters from China, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia will pit their skills against the host Filipinos, led by Jacob Paolo Ang, John Dizon and Eduardo Coseteng Jr. —TED MELENDRES
