Martinez bags silver, Perticheto wins bronze in figure skating

Former Olympian Michael Martinez scored a silver medal in men’s individual figure skating event in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games Sunday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Martinez, who represented the Philippines in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, earned 171.63 points behind gold medalist Julian Yee of Malaysia, who scored 205.4 points.

Khai Xiang, also from Malaysia, completed the podium with 145.52 points to score the bronze medal.

Another Filipino in Alisson Krystle Perticheto also won after taking the bronze medal in the women’s individual figure skating event.
