Ang spearheads strong PH showing

Jacob Paolo Ang of Eagle Cement-Petron Racing Team steered the Philippines to a two-title romp in the recent 2017 Petron Tri-Activ Asian Karting Open Championships at Carmona Racetrack in Cavite.

Ang captured both the Formula 125 Open Senior and X30 Senior plums of this prestigious annual series sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and approved by the world governing Commission Internationale de Karting-Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (CIK-FIA).

Ang defeated Japanese ace Takaharu Nakamori of Apex Racing with John Dizon of Edgesport Racing checking in third.

Ang also copped the Formula 125 Open Senior crown over Dizon and third placer Yan Liang.

Completing the sweep of the major titles were Eduardo Coseteng Jr., who clinched Formula 125 Open Junior and X30 Junior titles and Zach David of VS Racing who bagged the Mini-ROK crown.
