Ateneo beats UP, claims 2nd win in UAAP women’s basketball
Ateneo earned back-to-back wins in the UAAP Season 80 women’s basketball tournament after sneaking past University of the Philippines, 52-51, Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Cara Buendia had 10 points and eight boards to lead the Lady Eagles, who are undefeated at 2-0.
University of the East, meanwhile, hung on and tamed Far Eastern University, 59-56, for its first win in the season.

Eunice Chan finished with a near double-double of 19 points and nine rebounds as the Lady Warriors improved to 1-1, the same record as the Lady Tamaraws’.
Love Sto. Domingo aided Chan with 12 points and nine rebounds while Ruthlaine Tacula filled the stat sheets with eight points, seven boards, six assists, and three steals.
