SEA Games medal-winning PH sepak takraw team treated to hearty lunch

The Philippine Sepak Takraw team, which bagged two silver and two bronze medals in the recently concluded 29th Southeast Asian Games, was treated recently with a warm welcome from local sponsors La Filipina Canned Meats and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT).

Hosting the welcome lunch were La Filipina Canned Meats executives Danika Co and Nicasio Limjap, and Juan Alonzo IV of PLDT.

The Philippines won the bronze medal in the men’s doubles event sharing the plum with Laos.

It also disputed the gold medal with host Malaysia in the men’s chin lone (linking) but settled for the silver for its first medal of the meet.

John Jeffrey Morcillos, Johnjohn Bobier, Rhemwil Catana, Ronsited Gabayeron, Joeart Jumawan, and Alvin Pangan composed the team which bagged the silver medal.
