College of St. Benilde registered its third win in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament after taking apart Perpetual Help, 83-55, Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Blazers improved to 3-9 while the Altas slipped to 4-7.

This is Benilde’s second win over Perpetual after the Altas had their 69-65 opening game victory against the Blazers forfeited after wearing the wrong uniform.

Blazers head coach TY Tang used their earlier game against the Altas as a source of motivation and to prove that they can beat Perpetual without the help of some technicality.

“We had that as a motivation on our part that we just want to prove a point,” said Tang. “This time we wanted to win convincingly. We just played good basketball on both ends of the court and we were composed.”

Edward Dixon led the Blazers with 21 points with four rebounds while Clement Leutcheu put up a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Prince Eze had six points and 16 rebounds to lead the Altas.
