Bombers, Generals clash

Jose Rizal U battles Emilio Aguinaldo College in a clash of Final Four contenders while Arellano tries to stay in the thick of the fight for postseason berths in NCAA Season 93 basketball tournament on Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Holding a 7-4 record, the Heavy Bombers hope to solidify their hold of third spot in the 2 p.m. clash with the Generals, who are also looking to move up to fourth place.

The Arellano Chiefs collide with the Letran Knights at 4 p.m. with the former hoping to stay within sight of the top four.

Arellano guard Kent Salado hopes the Chiefs took the lessons from the loss to the Pirates to heart after they wasted a late 13-point lead.

JRU coach Vergel Meneses stressed the importance of consistency as the Bombers look to close in on the Pirates and the San Beda Red Lions.

“We can’t be satisfied,” said Meneses. “We have to keep improving.”
