National University lost to Adamson University Sunday night and Bulldogs head coach Jamike Jarin accepted the defeat with nothing but good things to say to the Falcons.

“We had our chances but they were able to maximize our mistakes and they had their mistakes and we just couldn’t convert so hats off to Adamson, they played better than us today,” said Jarin after the 83-76 defeat.

Adamson’s frantic defense bamboozled the Bulldogs, who turned the ball over 22 times.

And leading the Falcons’ defensive charge was Jerie Pingoy who, aside from his 12 points and five assists, had six steals.

“Adamson played good defense, we looked tired,” said Jarin. “Everybody from Adamson is playing like that.”

The Falcons capitalized on NU’s sloppy play and scored 24 points off turnovers and zoomed to 20 fastbreak points.

“The Adamson guards just outplayed us, hats off to them.”
