Filipino basketball star Terrence Romeo made history when he became the first local player to get his own signature shoe under a major foreign brand.
Romeo gave a glimpse of TR7 ver 1.0 by Chinese sportswear brand Peak in an Instagram post on Friday.
The sly guard, who has impressed in his stint with Gilas Pilipinas, has been a Peak endorser since last year.
Details have yet to be released regarding the TR7 but the number seven pays homage to Romeo’s jersey with Globalport and Far Eastern University.
As seen in Romeo’s post, his first shoe features what looks like a mesh upper allowing breathability through the side panels and comes in a low top version. It also has the logo TR on the tongue.
Other notable endorsers of the brand are NBA players Tony Parker and Matthew Dellavadova.
