Juvic Pagunsan recovered from a slow start to shoot a three-under-par 69 Friday and grab a share of the clubhouse lead with Gavin Green of Malaysia after the second round of the Mercuries Taiwan Masters at Taiwan Golf and Country Club in Tamsui, Chinese Taipei.

The 39-year-old Pagunsan hit the turn at even par but birdied three of the first six holes in the back for a 33 and a 36-hole aggregate of 137 like Green, who made a 70.

The duo were a shot ahead of Settee Prakongvech, the first round leader, who struggled with a 73 for 138.

Tony Lascuña also remained in the hunt after a 71 for 141 and a share of eighth with several players still to complete their rounds. Miguel Tabuena, however, missed the cut after a 75 for 149.
