Peach overpowered Ronnie Alcano last week after German Ralf Souquet had swept past world No. 1 Dennis Orcollo and Philippine Open
champion Carlo Biado in the first two editions of the PBB.
The 47-year-old Bustamante, a former World 9-ball champion like Peach, goes into the match holding the odds-on advantage.
A Bustamante victory will win $0.48 with a $1 bet, while a Peach win is worth $2.15 for a $1 bet.
The match is a race-to-9 winner-breaks 10-ball format with the victor pocketing the $5,000 pot. The loser gets $2,500.
“Enough [of the defeats]—we have to win this time,” said
Bustamante, who bagged a bronze medal in the 9-ball action of the recent Indonesia Southeast Asian Games.
The event, jointly organized by the Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp., will be aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34 and through the
Internet, live streaming at www.starbilliards.com.ph, www.megasportsworld.com and www.philippinebigtimebilliards.com.
“I’m looking for another impressive performance on Saturday,” said the 39-year-old Peach, who hails from Castleford, West Yorkshire, England.
Peach won seven straight racks to post a come-from-behind 9-7 victory over former WPA World 9-ball and
8-ball champion Alcano last Saturday.
Peach and Bustamante had sensational showdowns in the past, including a quarterfinal duel four years ago in the World 9-ball championships which went down the wire.
