St. Benilde records first win in final game in PVL
St. Benilde capped off its campaign in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference with a four-set win over Technological Institute of the Philippines, 18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-22, Saturday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Lady Blazers owned the fifth spot in Group B with a 1-4 record while the Lady Engineers at the bottom with a 0-5 card.
“They were too relaxed in the first set and I told them that we were both winless teams and whoever wants this game more will eventually take the victory,” said Lady Blazers head coach Macky Cariño in Filipino.

Ranya Musa led Benilde with 19 points while Rachel Austero and Felicia Cui combined for 27 points.
Alyssa Layug had 12 points to lead the Lady Engineers.
