Papi Sarr has already logged four games in the UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball tournament and helped Adamson University get to the fourth spot with a 3-2 record.

The center, however, admitted he’s still not at peak form despite his string of double-doubles with the third leading the Falcons’ 79-60 rout of University of the East on Sunday.

“Honestly, I feel myself at 60 percent and in practice I’m not myself yet,” said Sarr, who had 15 points and 16 rebounds.

“I’m not okay yet, but I feel that by the next games or in the second round I’m probably going to be in shape.

Sarr suffered a groin injury before the season started and sat out Adamson’s opener as a precaution.

And since his return, the 6-foot-8 big man has averaged 14 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Sarr has also recorded three straight triple-doubles for Adamson.

“I’ve been trying to get back after my injury but I’m thankful coach Franz [Pumaren] gave me the time and I’m trying to get back,” said Sarr. “I’m lucky I had a double-double and that actually helped the team win.”
