“This is our challenge now because when you go up against the stronger and more experienced programs, you should have great fortitude within you,” said UP head coach Bo Perasol. “You can’t just play based on the energy you got coming off a big win.”
“You should be disciplined, you should focus on the details. We should acquire those skills if we ever want to develop. We have to beat the stronger programs to get to the top four.”

The Fighting Maroons mustered just four triples against the Tamaraws and were limited to their lowest-scoring game this season.
“I think FEU did a really good job on making good schemes on our scorers,” said Perasol.
Paul Desiderio, who finished with a career-high 30 points against the Green Archers, finished with just nine points while Jun Manzo, who fired 17 points against La Salle, had four.
Center Ibrahim Ouattara and Juan Gomez de Liaño held much of the scoring responsibilities with 17 and 16 points, respectively.
“Juan and Ibra stepped up for us but at the same time, we need to find production from others.”
