Que snares fifth place, bags P1.9M

Angelo Que could only tally a final round one-over 71 Sunday and settled for fifth place in the Top Cup Tokai Classic won by Satoshi Kataira at Miyoshi Country Club West Course.

Counting earlier rounds of 69-69-68, the Filipino ace wound up with a 277, three shots off Kataira, who submitted a 69 for 274.


The effort was worth 4.4 million yen (about P1.9 million) for Que, who skipped the ICTSI Players Championship back home for the Japan Golf Tour.

Ryuko Tokimatsu wound up second following a 69 and a 275 total, one stroke up on compatriot Shingo Katayama. —ROY LUARCA
