SHS-Ateneo, LSM rule twin Best events

MANILA, Philippines—Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu and Lourdes School of Mandaluyong overwhelmed their respective rivals to claim the Passerelle and Small Basketeers Philippines titles, respectively, of the Best Center-organized tournament.

LSM will be making its first trip to the national finals after blasting last year’s runner-up Ateneo de Davao, 76-36, in the SBP finals at the Xavier courts in San Juan.

Luis Miguel Velasco led Lourdes with 14 points.

In the Passerelle battle, SHS-Ateneo outplayed Holy Child-Davao, 65-43, behind Rendell Senining, Janjan Jaboneta and Laiel Medalle.
