Cone fined P5k for entering court during Aguilar-Espinas scuffle in quarters

Ginebra head coach Tim Cone was on the playing floor for just a short time in his attempt to separate Japeth Aguilar and San Miguel forward Gabby Espinas but his entrance cost him P5,000.

The PBA slapped a P5,000 fine on Cone for the technical foul he incurred when he attempted to play peacemaker between Espinas and Aguilar during the quarterfinals match between Ginebra and San Miguel.

Aguilar and Espinas were both given technical fouls in the game and were also slapped with P1,000 and P2,000 fines, respectively..

Ginebra guard Sol Mercado and Star forward Marc Pingris were fined P2,000 each for “pointing an accusing finger towards a game official” which led to technical fouls.

The PBA also slapped a P5,000 fine on Meralco guard Mike Tolomia after he got called with a flagrant foul penalty 1 on Star guard Jio Jalalon in the first game of the semifinals series between the Bolts and the Hotshots.
