Ginebra and TNT engaged in a tension-filled battle in the semifinals, but the intense competition still couldn’t take away the respect Japeth Aguilar has for veteran TNT forwards Danny Seigle and Kelly Williams.
After the Gin Kings’ tough 115-105 Game 4 win to eliminate the KaTropa, the reedy forward went to as far as asking veteran Danny Seigle for his jersey.
“Can I have one of your jerseys please? You are my childhood idol. Forgot to ask you a while ago,” Aguilar wrote on his Twitter account (@japethaguilar35) late Sunday night.
Luckily for him, the 41-year-old Seigle was quick to respond and “Of course! Thank you & I’m flattered you asked. So nice to see you develop into one of the Superstars of PBA and Gilas. Good luck in the finals!”

Aguilar’s comments weren’t reserved on Seigle alone, as he also praised former PBA MVP Kelly Williams for the tremendous battle they had in the series.
“You are an inspiration, man,” he tweeted.
