Lyceum just had its best game in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament.

The 17-0 Pirates scored their most points this season when it tallied a 100-63 win over Jose Rizal University and it was all because of “playing the right kind of basketball.”

“You always want to be at your best,” said coach Topex Robinson Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre. “We discussed coming into the game that we will be true to ourselves and we will give our best. Whether we’re up by 20 or down by 20, we will play the same.”

Lyceum’s offense wasn’t the only impressive feat as the Pirates gobbled up season-high 67 rebounds, 22 of which were from the offensive glass.

The Pirates also ran to 29 fastbreak points, another top mark for them this season.

Robinson added that being the best team in the league starts from a humility that he instilled upon himself.
