Arellano bucked the absence of Jovielyn Prado to claim third place with a 25-22, 25-19, 19-25, 31-29 win over Adamson in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference Saturday night at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Chiefs completed a sweep of the Lady Falcons with Prado sidelined reportedly due to a sore right knee.

Arellano turned to Regine Arocha and Andrea Marzan, who combined for 33 points.

Arocha, the conference’s 2nd Best Outside Spiker, delivered 19 points built on 16 kills while Marzan added 14, including the game-sealing block on Bernadette Flora.

Flora was solid for the Lady Falcons with 26 points.

Adamson, which lost its top player Jema Galanza to an ankle injury in the elimination round, wrapped up its campaign with a four-game losing skid after a 6-0 start.
