Philippine Golf Tour Order of Merit winner Clyde Mondilla bids to bring his individual brilliance to team play when the ICTSI National Pro-Am Open blasts off Tuesday at Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa City, Batangas.
Mondilla will partner with amateur Dongbin Seo in the 54-hole, P2-million event which lured 117 teams.
Expected to challenge the Mondilla-Seo tandem are Jobim Carlos-Lester Lagman, Keanu Jahns-Zach Castro, Jhonnel Ababa-Dave Hernandez, Richnell Albano-Eddie Bagtas, Tonton Asistio-Jude Eustaquio, Jelbert Gamolo-Jolo Magcalayo and Jesselito Zaragosa-Rupert Zaragosa pairs.
Also keenly awaited is Marvin Dumandan’s team up with back-to-back Philippine Junior Amateur Open champion Tom Kim.
Female pros, led by triple titlist Pauline del Rosario, are likewise joining the title hunt, along with Chihiro Ikeda, Sarah Ababa, Apple Fudolin, Eva Miñoza and Gretchen Villacencio. —ROY LUARCA
